Marconi demonstrates IP packet convergence features of its BXR-48000 multiservice router at CeBIT

HANOVER, GERMANY -- Marconi Corporation plc (London: MONI and Nasdaq: MRCIY) will be demonstrating enhancements to the BXR"-48000 multiservice router at CeBit that helps customers evolve their networks to support predictable IP (Internet Protocol) and MPLS-based (Multiprotocol Label Switching) services while continuing to support for traditional services.

"Marconi continues to provide capabilities on the BXR-48000 that are required by operators to overcome one of their most critical problems: that of providing traditional service guarantees to newer IP services at competitive prices," said Joe Pajer, executive vice president of Marconi Broadband Routing and Switching. "At the same time, the new features of the BXR-48000 provide large businesses and government enterprises with extensive data networking capabilities with the capacity and reliability to ensure delivery of their most critical information."
