Lucent Resells MetaSolv OSS

PLANO, Texas, and MURRAY HILL, N.J. -- MetaSolv Software, Inc., a global leader in comprehensive service fulfillment solutions for next-generation communications service providers, today announced a global reseller agreement with Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU), a leader in designing and delivering the systems, services and software that drive next-generation communications networks. Under the terms of the agreement, Lucent will resell MetaSolv’s service provisioning solution covering order management, inventory management and service activation solutions to help service providers provide revenue-generating services and reduce their network integration costs.

Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) will incorporate MetaSolv’s service provisioning and inventory management software as part of its Professional Services portfolio of OSS/BSS solutions, which is marketed to service providers worldwide. LWS will develop these solutions by leveraging MetaSolv’s service fulfillment portfolio, including M6, MetaSolv’s next generation order and inventory management platform and Activation 5, MetaSolv’s recently launched multi-service activation capability.

In addition, Lucent will be able to integrate MetaSolv’s service provisioning and inventory management tools with its award-winning VitalSuite® Network and Service Management software solutions.
