DULLES, Va. -- Encore Networks, a leading developer of integrated IP+Legacy Virtual Private Network (VPN) security solutions, today announced the latest release of its leading IP operating system software, ELIOSTM 3.0. The ELIOSTM 3.0 release supports a common feature set across all Encore Networks platforms including the recently announced BANDIT-PlusTM, a high performance, multi-service IP+Legacy VPN host solution.

With its significant new enhancements, the ELIOSTM 3.0 operating system software is designed as both a money saver for enterprise customers and a revenue generator for service providers. Enterprise customers will be able to utilize ELIOSTM 3.0 to leverage their embedded installation base and allow for a smooth and seamless migration from legacy applications (bisync, poll-select, SCADA, SDLC, SNA, etc.) to broadband IP VPN services. Carriers will be able to converge their different legacy packet networks (Analog, X.25, FR) over a single core IP network. Also, ELIOSTM 3.0 enables them to penetrate additional markets by offering managed, next generation multi-service applications over a single network connection such as voice, data, security and VPNs.
