MONTREAL -- Octasic Inc., a leading innovator of media processing solutions, today announced that it has begun sampling its Vocallo multi-core gateway DSP platform, which provides unparalleled value for voice and video over IP applications.

Vocallo, based on Octasic’s unique asynchronous Opus DSP core architecture, offers the highest performance-to-power ratio in the industry. Coupled with Octasic’s pristine voice and video quality, developers can significantly reduce their system cost while enhancing total solution quality. Vocallo’s flexible architecture allows media gateway designers to not only match an offering to their specific requirements, but to enhance that offering and create a host of new products from a single product development.

“We worked closely with our customers to design a platform on which they can develop the new generation of media gateway and enterprise IP communication servers,” said Frédéric Bourget, Octasic’s director of product management. “We are now seeing intense interest from developers who require a complete, cost-effective solution that meets their product design challenges.”
