AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) is trying to steal some of Akamai Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AKAM) and Limelight Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: LLNW)'s customers by pushing further into the content delivery space with new partners, service offerings, and a $70 million commitment to building out its content delivery network (CDN).
The carrier, which stuck out like a sore thumb last month at Streaming Media East, is finally coming to market with a new suite of content delivery and rich media management tools.
