FORNEBU, Norway -- Telenor's IP TV product is now launched, providing Telenor's fibre customers with the ideal communications solution for the whole family: high-speed broadband, telephony and probably the best range of TV in the Nordic Region - all on the same fibre optic cable.

Telenor has now started to sell IP TV, initially to its customers in Norway with fibre (broadband and telephony) already installed.

"With the TV package we now have available, we can begin to sell a complete Triple Play solution to our fibre customers," says Svein Henning Kirkeng, head of Telenor's private market segment in Norway.

Telenor's new TV solution has been undergoing testing since the autumn of 2009. Active test users have tested the product's technical and consumer quality, and in relation to processes and solutions for installation and supply. In all respects, quality levels have been reported as high.

"On behalf of our customers, Telenor has set very high quality requirements for the end user's product. The customers who have tested the pilot have given exceptionally good feedback on the product we are now launching on the market. In particular, they state that the small, quiet TV box, which is also available in a recording version - PVR - with time shift and pause function for live broadcasts, is a valuable feature," adds Kirkeng.
