PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- Within the last week, the number of subscribers to on Telefonica O2'sdigital O2TV service, or IPTV technology fixed-line television, exceeded30,000. A growing number of orders over the last months, combined with thelaunch of new content and services, has elevated O2TV's position in thehighly competitive pay TV market in the Czech Republic. Telefónica O2 CzechRepublic, the country's first integrated operator, introduced the uniquedigital television service under the name O2TV in autumn 2006. Since then ithas prepared many new features and services for its users in the form ofblockbuster hits from global studios such as Sony Pictures and Warner Bros.,3D films, new programs, recording capabilities with O2TV archives, and aneasy-to-use self-installation package.
