ALVISO, Calif. -- Recent wins including Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative and Swiftel Communications in North America, ICE in Costa Rica, PCCTV in Cambodia, and Palm Hills Development in the Middle East have increased the total number of Minerva’s worldwide IPTV deployments to over two hundred (200).

With IPTV platforms delivering a superior user experience, and enabling the seamless integration of legacy Pay Television (Pay-TV) with emerging over-the-top (OTT) services, more network operators are betting on IP-based platforms to launch triple-play initiatives.

Minerva is taking advantage of this trend by providing a proven, open and extensible middleware platform that allows operators to launch next-generation television services quickly while minimizing infrastructure and operating costs. Minerva iTVManager is a comprehensive software platform for the delivery and management of a broad set of television services, including high-definition television (HDTV), set-top box and network-based personal video recording (PVR and nPVR), whole-home digital video recording (WHDVR), restart TV, pause-live TV (PLTV), video-on-demand (VOD), Widgets, music, games, and communications applications.

“We needed a platform that would allow us to offer advanced television services to our existing customers and to attract new subscribers,” said Craig Wilbert, General Manager of Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative. “After thorough evaluation, we concluded that Minerva’s iTVManager provided all the key features we were looking for, along with a compelling roadmap that will allow us to attract customers from our competitors.”
