Paradyne Intros IP Products

LARGO, Fla. -- Paradyne Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:PDYN), a leading provider of broadband voice, data, and video network access solutions, announced today the launch of the iMarc(TM) product line. Available immediately, iMarc products include a wide range of IP, frame relay, and ATM aware WAN endpoints.

The iMarc product suite is made up of intelligent network demarcation devices including routers, DSU/CSUs, and in-line monitoring devices. iMarc devices support a broad range of facility types, including digital 56K, T1, & T3 access, as well as a variety of DSL services. iMarc is a next-generation step forward for Paradyne's widely deployed, award winning FrameSaver(R) product line, supporting all of the current features and bringing new IP functionality to the product set.

Customers of iMarc products include enterprises with self-managed WANs, and carriers with managed WAN services. iMarc products sit at the boundary point between carrier and user control of a WAN, known as the demarcation point, or demarc. iMarc was selected as the new brand name in order to highlight its use as an IP Intelligent Demarc.

New IP functionality includes the addition of IP routers to the product line, the ability to provide service level management of IP core networks, a suite of new IP layer diagnostic capabilities, user application monitoring, and the addition of PPP support for access to IP networks.
