TComLabs launches its cost-efficient, flexible and scalable TCP/IP traffic generator/analyzer tool ByteBlower

GHENT, Belgium -- TComLabs launches its cost-efficient, flexible and scalable TCP/IP traffic generator/analyzer tool ByteBlower.
By releasing ByteBlower, tComLabs significantly lowers the barrier to execute complex or large-scale TCP/IP traffic testing in a lab or field environment.
TComLabs ByteBlower capability goes beyond simple TCP/IP traffic generation. Its cost-efficiency allows to execute large-scale tests using hundreds of devices and still keep cost under control. “ByteBlower has allowed us to perform TCP/IP traffic testing at a fraction of the cost of other solutions” says Luc Martens, tComLabs’ CEO. Its flexibility allows to mix UDP and TCP traffic, each having independent starting times. “ByteBlower was designed from the ground up to allow us to have the highest flexibility in executing test cases” says Wim De Ketelaere, tComLabs’ CTO. By its distributed architecture ByteBlower can operate over geographically distant locations, as such used to test the actual performance of real-life networks. The scalability is achieved by the use of a client-server architecture, where one client can control multiple servers, while each of these can be situated on a different location. ByteBlower, based on off-the-shelf hardware, is the perfect testing tool for assessing access network performance or device behaviour under different conditions. It can be used for lab testing or as a network performance measurement tool in a live network.
