ZURICH -- Roaming pioneers and solutions provider Starhome has announced that it has received European patent (EP 1111945) for the main features of its Intelligent Call Assistant(R) service.Intelligent Call Assistant (ICA) offers powerful roaming capabilities, including automatic correction of dialing mistakes, to maximize call completion rates and customer satisfaction, despite users’ lack of familiarity with international dialing conventions. For example, calls will be completed even in cases where roamers continue to dial from their phone book, without setting up international dial codes, on a network offering Starhome services.

“This patent for our ICA service is recognition of our pioneering efforts in the field of mobile roaming call technologies,” said Alon Barnea, VP of Marketing & Business Development at Starhome. “By implementing this service and helping roamers complete calls on the first attempt, operators have been able to better cater to the needs of international travelers and thereby increase roaming revenues.”More than 80 Mobile Network Operators in 60 countries have implemented Starhome mobile roaming services, including America Movil and China Mobile, with more than 250 services currently deployed worldwide. In addition to the services that have received the European patent, Starhome has 30 patents pending on its proprietary technologies and services.

The first to offer Value Added Services (VAS) for the roaming market, Starhome has an unmatched record of success in large and small operators and operator groups around the globe. Starhome’s foundation as a Telco and roaming based company enabled the rapid development of its roaming technology, platform and services and ultimate leadership role.
