Princeton Lightwave names George J. Roberts as CFO

CRANBURY, N.J. -- Princeton Lightwave, Inc. (PLI), a leading provider of high performance active components for next generation optical networks, today announced the appointment of George J. Roberts as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Roberts succeeds Ronald Goldfuss, who served as interim CFO during PLI's development stage. Roberts most recently served as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Nexterna, Inc., a mobile resource management systems provider based in Omaha, Nebraska. At Nexterna, Roberts delivered revenue and income gains through cost analysis, process reorganization and performance measurement. Prior to Nexterna, Roberts held a position as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at SpecTran Corporation, a publicly held manufacturer and distributor of fiber optic and cable products that was later acquired by Lucent Technologies. Before joining SpecTran, Roberts was Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation, a high technology research and development consortium. Roberts also held numerous key financial and management positions during his 25+ year tenure at General Electric, including Vice President of Finance and Controller for GE Capital's System Support Services.
