MURRAY HILL, N.J. -- Lucent Technologies today introduced Bell Labs-developed business-modeling tools that help enterprises quantify and characterize the benefits of secure, third-generation (3G) mobile high-speed data services for their businesses. Lucent's wireless customers can license the tools to enhance their sales efforts to provide enterprises with 3G high-speed data services. Using the analysis programs, mobile operators can show enterprise decision-makers the economic benefits and process efficiencies that may be gained from equipping their field sales and service teams with wireless high- speed data access to corporate applications such as Intranet, sales automation and customer relationship management (CRM) applications. The tools can be used across various industry segments including financial services, pharmaceuticals, insurance, manufacturing, and repair services.
