LONDON -- London Capital Group (LCG), the leading financial spread betting and Contract for Difference (CFD) provider, has deployed an infrastructure upgrade to support its Business Continuity Planning (BCP) strategy. The London-based firm, appointed Exponential-e, one of the UK’s most innovative technology enablers to design and deploy a Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) network across LCG’s core sites.
The VPLS service connects LCG’s London headquarters with its BCP sites in Slough and London, Docklands. The fully diverse resilient routes provide 1Gigabit capacity between the London HQ site.
LCG’s decision to upgrade its BCP infrastructure follows similar moves from players in the spread betting, financial trading and gaming industries where latency and uptime are essential requirements for these businesses to run.
LCG’s trading platform is replicated, data is backed-up and provides rapid recovery in the case of an unexpected outage.
