September 1, 2004
VIENNA -- KEYMILE AG, one of the world’s leading suppliers of multi-service access solutions, has announced the launch of a VoIP media gateway for Next Generation Networks (NGN). This solution enables network operators to introduce carrier-grade VoIP, without service interruption to their voice customers or changing the last mile infrastructure. This approach helps their future investments to be future-proof and guarantees a smooth migration to NGN.
The solution, which is an enhancement to KEYMILE’s existing UMUX multiservice access platform – already used in over 100 countries – is available immediately. It complies to H.248/ MEGACO and SIGTRAN industry standards and therefore is interoperable with third party vendor softswitches.
KEYMILE expects its solution to appeal to both incumbent and alternative network operators, as well as owners of private networks.
