JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- CENX, Inc., operator of the world's first and most connected Carrier Ethernet exchanges, today announced MemberLink, its new Inter-Exchange Service exclusively provided by CENX Members. This innovative service, which facilitates carrier-neutral connectivity between CENX Exchanges by integrating and advertising CENX members' bandwidth, creates the first carrier-neutral, long distance connections between Carrier Ethernet Exchanges. CFN Services is the first CENX Member to provide this inter-Exchange function. CFN has announced immediate availability of connections between CENX New York, Chicago, and London exchanges, along with the roadmap to interconnect all the CENX exchanges by June 2011.

CENX's MemberLink service simplifies and extends the integration between buying and selling providers by setting up pre-tested, pre-configured inter-exchange links between CENX Exchanges, transparently supporting the integration of long distance connections without compromising service performance or attributes. These inter-exchange links are 100% operated by independent transport providers, such as CFN Services, who have joined CENX, thus preserving the critical neutrality of CENX among its Members. This development is a significant breakthrough and differentiation compared to other Ethernet exchanges, which have provided transport in competition with their Exchange customers or lack connectivity options to facilitate Carrier Ethernet service attributes between exchanges.

"This new and innovative service addition to the CFN Product Roadmap not only enhances the CFN Low Latency Global Platform, but also manages all of the quality of service and provisioning issues faced in creating an end-to-end Carrier Ethernet service," said Russell Logan, VP of Distributed Networks at CFN Services "We are very pleased to be the first to offer this important, new Inter-exchange service on behalf of CENX members, which we believe will further serve to accelerate the expansion of Carrier Ethernet services."

"This is an exciting advancement in enabling Carrier Ethernet technology between the CENX exchanges, one which is provided without compromising CENX's position of maintaining Carrier Neutrality." said Russell Shriver, SVP Marketing and Product Management. "We are delighted to have CFN Services, also a Carrier Neutral managed telecom provider, as the first member to promote our MemberLink Service." Any CENX Member may take advantage of MemberLink and offer MemberLink Inter-exchange services to other Members, while CENX handles the inter-exchange service level integration. Most important, MemberLink preserves CENX's carrier-neutral philosophy while enhancing the functionally of CENX for its Members.
