NEW YORK -- BT Diamond IP announced today an expanded development relationship with Cisco Systems, specifically to jointly develop Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) (DDI - DNS, DHCP, IPAM) solutions for customers. BT Diamond IP is joining the Cisco Developer Network (CDN) and is actively engaged in engineering new DDI solution offerings, leveraging BT Diamond IP's IPControl and the Cisco Network Registrar (CNR) products.
"BT Diamond IP customers have enjoyed IPControl's discovery and collection features for Cisco routers, switches, and CNR DHCP servers for a number of years," stated Richard Tallman, senior vice president/general manager, BT Diamond IP. "We're vigorously collaborating with Cisco to expand this support for a much tighter level of integration."
"As the pace of convergence increases for devices, applications, services, and networks, our customers need integrated management solutions," stated Jamie Lerner, vice president/general manager - Network Management Technology Group, Cisco Systems. "The IP layer is the cornerstone of convergence. Effectively managing IPv4 and IPv6 address space as well as associated DHCP and DNS services are critical to enabling network engineers to maintain control while allowing end users more freedom to work the way they wish."
