Uses capacity on Pangea backbone to reach Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malmo, Stockholm, Oslo

Pangea Ltd., the leading provider of carrier network services in Northern Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic region, today announced that Viatel, Inc., has acquired capacity and other services on the PANGEA1 network.
The Viatel acquisition includes STM 16-level, ring-based capacity on two rings of the PANGEA1 network linking Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malmo, Stockholm and Oslo, as well as dark fiber pairs on the North Sea ring and co-location space.
