The Name's Danger... Hank DangerThe Name's Danger... Hank Danger
Achtung! The new CEO of Danger really is full of it
October 31, 2002
The surname of the man hired as the new CEO of Danger Inc. (see Danger Hires Nothhaft) translates as "dangerous"...in German.
Hank Nothhaft is replacing Andy Rubin, who remains president of Danger and is assuming the role of chief strategy officer. [Ed. note: Rubin, whose name means "ruby" auf Deutsch, apparently just wasn't Dangerous enough.]
Matt, one of our eagle-eyed copy editors, spotted just how suitable Hank is for this new position.
"Not means emergency, distress, trouble, danger," Matt told us between puffs on his Lucky Strikes and sneaky gulps of whatever mysterious substance he has in that hip flask. "And the -haft means 'full of.' "
So the new CEO of Danger really is dangerous...
