RoboScissors

2:30 PM -- Last week, RadioShack opened its flagship store, called StoreOne, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by three executives and a robot.
The Philter picked up the newsfeed photo of the blessed event and couldn't help wondering why the executives -- from the left: Stu Asimus, Don Carroll, and CEO David Edmondson -- would allow a scissor-wielding robot that close to their, um, midsections.
Did they let it run around the store, too? I should hope not. It could put someone's eye out.
The robot was allegedly built by a student. Had the robot actually struck and slashed at the executives like some kind of crazed tin-can Zorro, I would have suspected RadioShack shareholders.
