Raqia Unveils Deep Packet Processor
RQDPC10G processor provides full wire-rate classification anywhere in the packet header or payload
September 11, 2001
BOSTON -- Raqia Networks today announced the availability of its RQDPC10G Deep-Packet Classification engine, enabling companies to enhance content-based network systems by providing full wire-rate classification anywhere in the packet header or payload. The device operates at 10Gbps Ethernet or OC-192 Packet over Sonet. Raqia is introducing its flagship processor at Booth 6958 at Interop 2001, September 11 - 13 in Atlanta, Georgia. "The primary benefit of our RQDPC10G processor is that it performs packet analysis in hardware for all layers and payload at wire-rate, thus vastly speeding up content-based networks," said Alain Arnaud, President of Raqia. "Additionally, our device offloads the Network Processing Unit, allowing it to concentrate on its main functions, packet forwarding, statistics, and traffic management. The processor-intensive packet analysis is thus more efficiently handled." Raqia Networks Inc.
