STOCKHOLM -- SRG (SRG SSR idée suisse), Switzerland's public broadcaster, has chosen Net Insight's Nimbra platform for an audio network for audio contribution covering all Switzerland.
The network transports uncompressed Audio (AES/EBU) as well as compressed Audio. The initial network interconnects nine studios (TV - and radio studios) located in the six main cities. The network build out will start in the first quarter 2007.
Net Insight's Nimbra platform fully complies with SRG's requirements for service migration, quality of service, flexibility and manageability. The new Nimbra network can easily scale with new services and to new locations.
