CARY, N.C. -- Microcosm Technologies, Inc., a leader in MEMS development since 1996, announced today that it is changing the name of the company to Coventor, Inc. The name better reflects the company's position as a visionary product development company that partners with customers to transform ideas into innovative products made possible by MEMS.

"It was time our name caught up with who we are and what we do," said Michael Jamiolkowski, Coventor President and CEO. "It's true that we introduced the first dedicated software methodology for developing commercially viable MEMS. But over the past several years we have greatly extended our value by collaborating with customers for the development of ground-breaking MEMS-enabled products that are changing communications and biotechnology. We have built a sound infrastructure. At the core is robust software and a consulting engineering staff expert in MEMS and experienced in both markets."
