HanseNet has selected Nagravision to secure its Alice IPTV service

CHESEAUX, Switzerland -- HanseNet, a subsidiary of Telecom Italia and one of the fastest growing telecom operators in Germany, has selected Nagravision, the world leading independent provider of open conditional access and integrated solutions for digital TV operators and content providers, to secure the Alice broadband Pay-TV bouquet and VOD offering.
NagraIP offers HanseNet a secure platform for its more than one hundred free digital television and premium Pay-TV channels to be broadcast to consumers over broadband DSL.
Under its brand Alice, HanseNet will launch the service prior to the FIFA World Cup in June/July 2006 leveraging Nagravision’s ability to rapidly and efficiently deploy secure IPTV solutions integrating an extensive range of best-in-class partners. Nagra IP platform will enable HanseNet to introduce value-added services such as video on demand as it further develops it commercial offer.
