SOLON, Ohio -- Advanced Lighting Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADLT) today announced that a second-generation Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) filter produced by the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI), has been qualified by a world leader in metro and local-loop systems who previously qualified DSI's first-generation filter. The Company also announced a new product for the metro market, its IsoPower(TM) Fiber Collimator that acts as a funnel channeling light between optical interfaces. Compared with the GRIN lens based technology, this innovation takes advantage of DSI's ball lens technology, which results in improved performance and lower costs.
