We continue to enhance the functionality and versatility of our products to meet our customer's ever-changing requirements, while enabling them to deploy new, high-margin services." In a separate release:ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands -- Redback Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:RBAK), a leading provider of next-generation metro broadband and optical networking equipment, today announced that Belgacom is the latest European PTT to deploy the Redback's SMS(TM) platform, subscriber management system, in its broadband network. Belgium's national carrier has deployed the Redback(R) SMS 10000 to aggregate and manage high volumes of subscribers to its digital subscriber line (DSL) access services. Wim Steenhaut, vice president product management at Belgacom, said, "Without multiple contexts, we could not effect different policies for our residential user and business user packages, both for retail and wholesale partners. It also enables us to pre-provision for a default user type, which greatly speeds up the provisioning process. Being able to provision a user within a few hours of a customer ordering the service helps us win customers and speeds receipt of new revenues." Redback Networks Inc.
