AT&T Expands to 175 4G LTE Markets

AT&T Inc. has bumped the number of 4G LTE towns and cities it supports up to 175.
"AT&T’s 4G LTE covers more than 170 million people -- we more than doubled the number of people covered by 4G LTE in 2012 (vs. year-end 2011) and we expect to cover 300M people with 4G LTE by year-end 2014, planning to reach 250M by year-end 2013," a spokesman for the operator said in an email Wednesday.
The operator has added 14 new markets to its LTE roster. The markets are:
- Beaumont, Texas
- Binghamton, N.Y.
- Carbondale-Marion, Ill.
- Fort Pierce, Fla.
- Fort Smith, Ariz.
- Fresno, Calif.
- Houma, La.
- Jefferson City, Mo.
- Lakeland-Winter Haven, Fla.
- Las Cruces, N.M.
- Montgomery, Ala.
- Mount Vernon, Wash.
- Palm Coast, Fla.
- Temple-Killeen, Texas
