Apple's iPhone 4 Press Conference

1:00 PM -- What are you expecting out of Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL)'s iPhone 4 press conference tomorrow morning?

Apple has merely said that it is about the iPhone 4 and not given any other information yet. The way I see it they have three main options:

  • Total recall: A possibility, but a hard one for Apple. A recall would be nasty right before the company reports its quarter. Apple can also point out that despite the media attention on the antenna problem, many of its customers are perfectly happy with the phone.

  • Bumper crop: Free bumper cases or a refund for any user that wants one. This seems like the most likely outcome tomorrow, to me at least. It gives Apple time to work to fix the antenna issue, too.

  • Maintain the status quo: Apple could stick to the line that every phone looses signal when held a certain way and that its software update will give a better idea of what coverage is available. Somehow this seems like the least likely option to me though.

    What do you think?
