SOROCABA, Brazil -- Andrew Corporation’s newly expanded manufacturing capabilities in Latin America have resulted in a 10-fold increase in capacity and a tripling of workforce to better support customers with local production and testing of base station antennas for wireless networks.

At its Sorocaba, Brazil, manufacturing facility, Andrew’s Decibel® base station antenna production capacity has been increased to thousands of units per month, while its manufacturing workforce has grown to 100 employees. This major expansion in Sorocaba follows Andrew’s acquisition of Allen Telecom and the successful integration of the Decibel base station antenna product line into the Andrew portfolio.

“We are better positioned than ever before to meet the growing needs of our customers in South America, Central America, and the Caribbean for world-class, locally-produced base station antennas that can be delivered rapidly and on-time,” said Sylvio Peres, sales vice president, Latin America, Andrew Corporation. “Andrew has proudly supported operators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) throughout Latin America for many years, and we stand ready to help them meet the growing demands for wireless services in the future.”
