AlcaLu Appoints Italy CEO

Gianluca Baini replaces Stefano Lorenzi to take responsibility for range of Mediterranean territories

VIMERCATE, Italy -- Gianluca Baini is appointed as the new chairman and CEO of Alcatel-Lucent Italia, with responsibility for the company’s activities in the Mediterranean countries including Italy, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Israel, Palestinian Territories, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Mauritania. He will directly report to Adolfo Hernandez, president of the EMEA region.

Gianluca replaces Stefano Lorenzi who will pursue other opportunities outside the company. Previously to this role, Gianluca was the global account director for the Vodafone group at Alcatel-Lucent.
