Accelink Gets New Investors

The former Accelink Technologies Corp. Ltd. has changed to Accelink Technologies Inc.

WUHAN, China -- The former Accelink Technologies Corp. Ltd. has changed to Accelink Technologies Inc.

The rebuilt incorporation has 5 shareholders; the state-owned Asset Administration Committee holds 65% of the shares. Other shareholders include three domestic investors: Zhongtian Capital, Changyuanyingjia Capital, and Xiandai Capital; An international investor from California was involved in the incorporation too. The incorporation has been approved by state-owned Assets Administration Committee and Commerce Ministry of the State Council. The accomplishment of the incorporation cleared the way for Accelink share marketing. Accelink may become the first IPO enterprise in optical component industry in China.

Accelink grows out of former Passive Device Division of WRI (Wuhan Research Institute of Post and Telecommunication), with experience in R&D and manufacture of active and passive components for fiber optical communications for nearly 30 years. Its products including EDFA/Raman, WDM/DWDM/CWDM (TFF and AWG), couplers(fiber-fused and PLC-based), optical switches, VOA, isolators, circulators, fiber gratings, interleavers, some subsystems such as OAD, OPM, DEG, OEO, OLP(Optical Layer Protection), connectors, and optical instrument series. All of these products have been sold all around the world, including Europe, America, Japan, and the Asia-Pacific region. Export sales in 2003 contributed 30% to its total revenue of $26 million.

In order to meet customer demand, Accelink implemented an integrated administration system, which includes the ISO9001 quality system, TL9000 quality system, ISO14000 management system, and OHSAS18000 management system.

There are about 800 employees in the company, including nearly 300 engineers. Accelink is a front runner on the R&D of advanced optical components and applications. Accelink has 47 granted patents and another 45 pending patents, including several overseas patents.
