Firetide Intros 5GHz Mesh Gear

LOS GATOS, Calif. -- Firetide, a leader in wireless mesh networking, today announced the HotPoint 1500 5 GHz wireless mesh router product line. Firetide, known for products that are quick and easy to deploy, is the first company to offer outdoor and indoor mesh nodes in both the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz spectrums.

“We want to offer our customers the best products for their particular needs,” said Bo Larsson, CEO of Firetide. “We developed the HotPoint 1500 product line for customers with high bandwidth needs such as video monitoring networks, Wi-Fi aggregation, and for environments currently congested with existing 2.4 GHz traffic.”

HotPoint 1500 5 GHz wireless mesh routers are available for a variety of environments. The HotPoint 1500R is a ruggedized model to withstand outdoor environments, while the HotPoint 1500S is designed for indoor wireless networks. Both models operate in the high bandwidth 5 GHz spectrum, and seamlessly work together, allowing wireless networks to span indoor and adjacent outdoor areas.
