MARINA DEL REY, Calif. -- 5G Wireless Solutions, Inc., an emerging leader in the wireless broadband industry and a wholly-owned subsidiary of 5G Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: FGWC), announced today that Pleasant Harbor RV Park in Peoria, AZ is enjoying high speed wireless internet access using its Wi-Fi networking equipment. The 5-star resort park is located about 15 mi. northwest of Phoenix and offers over 250 full-hookup campsites, including a full-service marina on the shores of Lake Pleasant.

Wireless coverage enhances the recreational camping experience and allows users to check emails, surf the web, or use Wi-Fi enabled phones to make calls from mobile homes and common areas. Coverage extends up to 1.5 miles from a Base Station, delivering non-line-of-sight connectivity to authorized users, even extending onto a nearby lake. Using enhanced 802.11b technology, 5G’s Wi-Fi HotZone™ provides a wireless footprint more than 10x larger than traditional hotspots. This evolution of Base Station capability from LAN (Local Area Network) to a Campus-wide WAN (Wide Area Network) represents an advancement in both Wi-Fi technology and breakeven economics.

"This project is an example of just how effectively our extended-range Wi-Fi product can function in non-line-of-sight environments,” stated Peter Mansfield, 5G Wireless Marketing VP. “We can cover an entire facility with a single access point, and this translates to minimal installation, reduced maintenance and administrative costs, and, overall, a low total cost of ownership. This installation also reflects major strides made over the past year as we continue to surpass the perceived limitations of Wi-Fi networks by providing this inexpensive coverage over ever-widening areas.”

Campgrounds represent a new, campus-like, vertical market for 5G Wireless Solutions and its growing roster of marketing partners. According to the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, which represents nearly 4000 facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada, RV travel and sales are reaching record levels since September 11, 2001. RVs are owned by nearly 7 million U.S. households, and there are as many as 30 million RV enthusiasts who also rent, according to Recreation Vehicle Industry Association estimates. Long-term signs point to substantial market growth because of favorable demographic trends, with the number of RV-owning households estimated to rise 15 percent during the 2001-2010-time period to nearly 8 million.

Road travel now accounts for 60% of all U.S. travel. Road travelers take approximately 600 million extended drives per year, each averaging 770 miles, totaling more than 450 billion miles annually.

“RV and on-the-road online use is indicative of the growing appetite for anytime/anywhere internet access, even while on vacation,” added Mr. Mansfield. “With more and more families vacationing closer to home since 9/11, RV parks represent an exciting new market for our marketing partners to pursue.”
