Vitesse Cancels Earnings Call

CAMARILLO, Calif. -- Vitesse Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:VTSS - News) today announced that, as a result of an ongoing investigation by a Special Committee of its Board of Directors, the Company has cancelled its scheduled earnings call, which had been set for Monday, April 24, 2006, and will not be in a position to file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the three months ending March 31, 2006 by May 10, 2006, when such filing is due.

Vitesse further advises that the administrative leaves for Chief Executive Officer Louis R. Tomasetta, Chief Financial Officer Yatin Mody and Executive Vice President Eugene F. Hovanec, previously announced on April 18, 2006, were imposed because of such individuals' involvement with issues related to the integrity of documents relating to Vitesse's stock option grant process.
