EATONTOWN, N.J. -- Village Networks, Inc., the leader in integrated packet-over-optics networking solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with NeoWave, Inc., a rapidly growing provider of optical Internet access solutions in Korea. This partnership is mutually beneficial to both Village Networks and NeoWave. For Village Networks, it provides a strong local representative to the significant Korean telecommunications marketplace. Under the terms of the agreement, NeoWave will work with Village Networks' Asia- Pacific business development and sales team on market and business development, as well as provide customer service and support and systems integration. For NeoWave, the addition of the industry-leading iOPN2000 optical packet node adds a metro-core offering to complete its comprehensive portfolio of solutions for the optical Internet. The iOPN2000 is the first optical packet node to fully integrate the intelligence of packet switching with the power of optics into a single networking device for metro and regional markets. First announced in December 2000, the iOPN2000 has undergone extensive trials with service providers, including Global Crossing, and is beginning commercial availability this year.Village Networks Inc.
