ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- T-Networks, Incorporated today announced the availability of its new LLIM100 series product. It provides the same excellent performance and cost benefits of the Laser Integrated Modulator (LIM) platform but incorporates up to 4 x 50GHz ITU channel tuning with wavelength locking. Two-channel and single-channel versions are also available with output powers to +4 dBm.

T-Networks entire unlocked product line, with up to 110km transmission performance, NRZ and RZ transmission, and up to +4dBm output power is now offered in single-channel wave-locked versions. In addition, tunable designs offer substantial savings in inventory and sparing costs, and can be used to incorporate remote provisioning with Optical Add-Drop Multiplexers (OADMs). By covering up to 4 channels, the LLIM100 offers outstanding performance for Metro and Regional networks at costs substantially less than full c-band tunable, Lithium Niobate transmitters. With +/- 900pS/nm dispersion tolerance, these transmitters are ideal for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexed (DWDM) networks that incorporate amplification and dispersion management. Other dispersion characteristics are available upon request.

"We've seen significant demand for transmitters to address DWDM networks with 50 GHz channel spacing," said David Huff, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, "And these products offer substantial advantages for these networks over competing technologies." Those advantages include power, cost, size, and simplicity of implementation. In keeping with the platform approach of the LIM, this product can be used in existing LIM designs with only minor modifications.
