SwitchCore Launches Xpeedium2pro

LUND, Sweden -- SwitchCore AB, a company that markets and sells integrated network devices for data switching, today announces its new Xpeedium2pro product for the access market. Xpeedium2pro shortens time to market for solutions that can help carriers more cost-effectively deploy broadband access and the emerging triple-play services (voice, video and data). The market of Ethernet-based access network (IP-DSLAM) is expected to grow by about 30 per cent annually and is expected to be worth $1.5 billion by 2007.

The products builds upon SwitchCore's proven Xpeedium and Xpeedium2 chips and provides effective solutions to the access network while retaining the cost advantages of components developed for a much larger market for enterprise network switches.
