OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- InSiteOne, Inc., the nation's leading provider of medical image archiving, today announced the launch of InDex Web, a digital image storage solution, managed and hosted by Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS), which allows healthcare providers to send and receive digital medical images to healthcare providers ’ desktops over the Internet anywhere in the world. InDex Web offers healthcare providers a fast, secure solution for transmitting digital medical images including ultrasound, MRI, CT, nuclear medicine and cardiology to radiologists, referring physicians and other peers.The InSiteOne solution, which meets HIPAA criteria (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), is available around the clock and from any location. The InSiteOne Web application is hosted at Sprint’s Denver E|Solutions Center. There, the images are received from the InSiteOne RAID-based archive located on site at the hospital and sent over the Web to the requestor. InSiteOne also utilizes Sprint’s security services for data submitted via the healthcare provider’s virtual private network (VPN) through InDex Web.
