Tellabs Launches Radio Access Solution

Works with Tellabs' MartisDXX platform and combines its R-2 radios with Nokia's Hopper microwave access radios

LISLE, Ill. -- Tellabs has launched a radio access solution that will help serviceproviders quickly offer business and mobile subscribers broadband servicesthat will generate revenue rapidly. Tellabs' new radio access solutionbuilds and upgrades communications networks for service providers who wantto quickly deliver voice and data services to subscribers.Tellabs' radio access solution uses microwave radio technology toquicken the "last-mile" connection between a subscriber and the local,long-distance or Internet network. The solution works with Tellabs'MartisDXX® managed access network platform and combines Tellabs' R-2 radioswith Nokia's Hopper microwave access radios to provide a wireless connectionusing microwave radio signals.
