NEW YORK -- T-Mobile, one of the leading mobile operators in Austria, and Comverse, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT - News) and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communication and billing services, today announced deployment of Comverse Fun Dial(TM) to provide Austrian users with a personalized ringback tone service, branded SoundLogo by T-Mobile Austria. Replacing a legacy system, this deployment is one of a series of Fun Dial implementations in a global cooperation between T-Mobile and Comverse that includes the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany, and Hungary.
The T-Mobile SoundLogo ringback tone service makes mobile communications more personal and fun, enabling users to express themselves by replacing the standard system tones that their callers hear with favorite music tracks from a rich content portfolio. Advantages of Comverse Fun Dial include the ability to choose a wide variety of music and to assign content for different callers and for different occasions. In addition, business users gain a marketing tool that turns the ringing time before calls are answered into a productive vehicle for corporate branding and promotion.
Dr. Georg Polzl, Chief Executive Officer T-Mobile Austria said, "Music and personalization are major draws and differentiators for us, and customizable ringback tones have opened a whole new area for musical content and self-expression. Comverse Fun Dial maximizes user enjoyment through its rich features and functionality, and its effective marketing tools help increase service penetration, boost usage and enhance content sales."
