CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Atreus Systems(TM), a service fulfillment leader for next-generation networks, today introduced its Service Descriptions: Volume 1, an initial suite of secure business services for the Atreus xAuthority(TM) Service Fulfillment Solution, a software platform that empowers providers to define and deploy new services without new network build out. The Service Descriptions are configurable, XML-based templates that incorporate best practices in business logic, workflow and configuration attributes for specific services, helping providers to rapidly launch new service offerings across multi-vendor networks. Atreus will be demonstrating the Atreus xAuthority Service Fulfillment Solution and Service Descriptions in Booth 23870 at SUPERCOMM 2002, June 2-6, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. With Service Descriptions, service providers can launch services at the speed of demand by creating unique service offerings tailored to meet the changing needs of businesses and consumers. Service Descriptions enable the introduction and delivery of the following secure business services:
VPN Site-to-Site and VPN Remote Access, which enable providers to offer cost-effective, secure WAN connectivity for main, branch, small or home offices, as well as traveling professionals;
Internet Services, in which subscribers are given an Internet identity (DNS, DHCP, Radius);
Managed Firewall, in which service providers apply configurable security criteria to all traffic entering or exiting an enterprise network to prevent unauthorized access;
Tiered Access Bandwidth, in which Internet service is offered at variable access speeds;
"With these Service Descriptions, providers are free to launch market responsive services," said Andrea Baptiste, founder, EVP marketing and business development at Atreus Systems. "The modules are priced and sold separately from Atreus xAuthority so that providers can tailor service offerings at specific markets based on market demand. That's of critical importance in today's marketplace." Atreus Systems Inc. For more information on Supercomm 2002, please visit: Supercomm Special
