HANNOVER, Germany -- ServerWorks Corporation, aBroadcom (Nasdaq: BRCM) company and the leading independent supplier ofhigh-performance SystemI/O™ integrated circuits for servers, today announcedit has commenced shipments of its Grand Champion™ HE (GC-HE) SystemI/O corelogic for 4-way Intel® Xeon™ MP processor -based servers. Platforms based onthe GC-HE and Intel Xeon MP processors offer a combination of high memorybandwidth and high Reliability/ Availability/ Serviceability (RAS) forserver, storage, and network appliance applications that were previouslyserved by more expensive, proprietary architectures.The GC-HE, ServerWorks' most configurable SystemI/O design, supports up tofour Intel Xeon or Xeon MP processors, up to 64 Gigabytes of memory, sixindependent PCI-X bus segments and a traditional 32-bit PCI bus.
