BALTIMORE -- Semrock, Inc., a new company developing premium optical components for use in modern optical telecommunications systems, is pleased to announce the opening of its 16,000 square foot headquarters facility near Baltimore, Maryland.Semrock was co-founded by Dr. Victor Mizrahi, the former chief scientist at CIENA Corporation (also a Baltimore area company, now employing more than 3000 people, many in the region), and Dr. Turan Erdogan, a former professor at the University of Rochester’s Institute of Optics. Mizrahi is CEO and Erdogan, CTO.
