Santur Names VP of Operations

Santur hires Jack Gearin, most recently VP of manufacturing for all active components at JDSU, as vice president of operations

FREMONT, Calif. -- Santur Corporation, a leading manufacturer of reliable, cost-effective source laser components for the telecommunications industry, today announced the appointment of Jack Gearin as Vice President of Operations. Jack brings over 20 years of senior operations management experience in optical components and semiconductors at National Semiconductor, SDL and JDSU.

Jack began his career in product design and automation engineering and has many years of experience in managing offshore manufacturing operations. Most recently, Jack was VP of Manufacturing for all active components at JDSU, including source lasers from The Netherlands, modulators from Connecticut, and pump lasers from San Jose.
