BrightLink Chairman and CEO Harry Quackenboss resigns; Paul Schaller will act as chief executive until a permanent successor is named

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- BrightLink Networks, a developer of optical switching systems for the telecommunications industry, today announced the resignation of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Harry Quackenboss. Paul Schaller, a founding board member, will act as chief executive until a permanent successor is named. In addition, Jake Vigil, vice president of hardware engineering and operations at BrightLink, was promoted to chief operating officer. Board member Dick Liebhaber, former vice chairman and chief strategy and technology officer at MCI, was named the new chairman of BrightLink's board.

"We appreciate all of Harry's hard work while growing the company," said Schaller. “He’s done a tremendous job bringing the company this far.”
