PITTSTOWN, N.J. -- KEOPSYS, a leader in the design and manufacture of high power fiber lasers and amplifiers is proud to release its 10W-KPS-SLM-PM, a single mode 10 Watt CW polarization maintaining (PM) amplifier in the “eye safe” C-band spectral range.

KEOPSYS is leveraging its expertise in specialty fiber amplifier design and manufacturing in offering the 10W-KPS-SLM-PM, a truly single mode CW high power erbium-ytterbium 10 Watt amplifier in a rack mount version. This turnkey 10W fiber amplifier combines an excellent beam quality (TEM00) with low noise figure and stable output power.

The KPS-SLM-PM Series consists of high power, broadband single mode amplifiers specifically engineered for the amplification of narrow linewidth, linearly polarized input signals in the spectral range from 1530 to 1565nm. The different series versions deliver from 1 to 10W of saturated optical output power with a polarization extinction ratio from 15 to 20dB, through a bare fiber or beam collimator.

These efficient and cost effective amplifiers are ideal for a variety of applications such as free space communications, frequency doubling, coherent detection and beam combining. The amplifiers can be customized to meet the users demand in terms of modes of operation, desired inputs, computer interfaces and packaging requirements. The standard KPS-SLM-PM 19” rack mount unit includes all the required controls, monitors, alarms and the RS232 computer interfaces necessary for system integration. Also, the front panel touch keys allow the user to easily control and monitor the different functions and parameters of the unit.
