Developer of advanced optical sensing systems acquires all product lines, facilities, intellectual property, and other assets of Oluma

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- IFOS, Inc., of Sunnyvale, California, a leading designer and developer of advanced optical sensing systems announces the acquisition of all product lines, facilities, intellectual property and other assets of Oluma Inc. Customers no longer will have to choose technology, but can now have a single source for Sensing Solutions. “IFOS is getting stronger and is going to widen its operations. I am confident this acquisition will strengthen our application engineering capabilities, allowing us better to support our customers in the field”, said Dr. Behzad Moslehi, CEO/ Founder of IFOS.

“The Oluma acquisition has strengthened IFOS’ technical position as well as its product development ability to offer leading edge and cost-effective sensing solutions to its US and international client base”, said Dr. Ali Daneshy, former VP of Integrated Technology Products at Halliburton, President of Daneshy Consultants Int'l and a member of IFOS Advisory Board.

Over time, IFOS will integrate Oluma’s fiber sensing technology to perfect Pressure and Distributed Temperature Sensing products, strengthen its I*SenseTM Optical Sensing System platform for providing comprehensive solutions for the medical, security, transportation, oil & gas, civil, aerospace, and bio/chemical industries. IFOS’ multi-sensor monitoring system, I*Sense, is a family of products that are rugged, compact, light-weight, fast, highly sensitive, precise, durable, low in power consumption, immune to electromagnetic interference and scalable. Combining these sensing products will provide cost/performance gains over competitive offerings in the market for a many critical applications.
