Neterra goes optical to meet the challenge of Bulgaria’s burgeoning data traffic

SOFIA, Bulgaria and ESPOO, Finland -- Neterra Ltd., Bulgaria’s leading telecommunications operator, is launching an advanced fiber-optic transport solution from Nokia Siemens Networks to support the growing data national and international data traffic requirements of its corporate customers with reliable, cost effective services.

Nokia Siemens Networks’ optical network solution featuring the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, will support high transport speeds and capacity to allow Neterra to offer broadband Internet, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and data transport services to corporate customers and broadcast companies in Bulgaria. The project is to be completed by July 2008.
