GRENOBLE, France -- OpsiTech SA, a supplier of high-performance and cost-effective integrated optical components and modules for optical networking systems, expands its product portfolio by unveiling its high-port Electrically tunable Variable Optical Attenuator (EVOA) array in Copenhagen at ECOC 2002.OpsiTech’s 8-, 10-, 12-port EVOA array are based on integrated Silica-on-Silicon planar technology. It features 20-dB of attenuation, high stability, low insertion loss, low polarization dependent loss and small footprint. Available for C- and L- band, the EVOA array is applied in a variety of modules, such as Multiplexers/De-multiplexers, Optical Add/Drop Modules and Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifiers.“OpsiTech’s high-port EVOA array insures the dynamic rebalancing of each individual optical channel, corrects ageing effects of other components and avoids distortions due to saturation.” Said Jerome Prieur VP Sales and Business Development of OpsiTech. “It provides accurate, fast and stable control of each optical channel required for optimal performance of DWDM networks.”OpsiTech will demonstrate its high-performance and cost-effective integrated EVOA array at ECOC 2002 exhibition booth 155A.OpsiTech SA
