LONDON -- AboveNet, Inc. (NYSE:ABVT - News), a provider of high bandwidth connectivity solutions to business and carriers, has expanded its Metro portfolio with the launch of Core Wave services, providing customers with a flexible, dedicated and cost-effective data transport solution.
Based on a metro ring infrastructure, Core Wave utilises ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer) technology providing dynamic wavelength Add/Drops and inter-ring connectivity with flexible traffic routing. This next-generation technology is scalable, with the ability to grow to 40G and 100G, preparing Enterprises for the future.
